These were the best words ever offered
When my grandfather died, I was so sad. My uncle offered me the best advised that I have tired to follow
REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES
I take this as not only the good times but the goodness of the person who has passed away.
We all have faults and spotted pasts but I can only hope that when someone passes away or even when I pass away, that the things that are written, remembered and talked about are the good things and not all the faults. Sadly the faults greatly out number the good it seems so it takes work but if we focus on the good then we are better peoeple for it and create the leagcy that the person will be rememebr by.

In death
Many years ago, my girl friend died a long and tragic death from cancer. It was so painful to her husband and four little kids, I do not know how they ever recovered. Sadly years later her husband killed himself. It was a terrible death and left 4 children with out parents. The prophet sent a letter to these 4 child and told them that their father was now in heaven and that our heavenly father was taking care of him. The prophet also wrote about the many great and wonderful things the father had done through his life. He stressed that their father would be judged for the good things in his life and not be judged on taking his life. He told how the lord knew the intent of our heart and spirit and the children had nothing to fear. This letter was read to our ward and at the funeral. It was a beautiful letter of love and hope. I wish i had it now. It allowed our hearts to heal. It is a wonderful thing to know that Heavenly father and Jesus will take care of everything and even though we have all sinned and made mistakes, ultimately we can all return to a loving Heavenly Father and mother. After all, we are only here for a blink of an eye and the test is just that -- a test-- as we become one with our father in heaven. We cannot fail with our brother Jesus by our side.
A lesson to learn
I know I have shared this before but it is on my mind again today. Festival has allowed to meet and become friend with many great people around the world. One of these friends lives Cape May, New Jersey. I love her like a sister and cannot wait till she finally moves here to Utah so we can be together. Here is her story:
She is a new convert to the church and was invited to come to SLC. When she got here she had the opportunity to meet with an apostle. He asked Joi, what was the hardest thing about being a new member. She thought and came up with the answer of stop drinking coke. He laugher and had his secretary bring in some glass and brought out some coke out of his desk drawer. He poured some and offered it to her. She was not sure it if it was a test or not. The he taught her. Joi, drinking Coke will not keep you out of the kingdom of Heaven, but judging some one who does drink coke will.

Slacker
Yes, I have been a Blog loser. I have taken my blog time and been in the pool. This new outdoor pool is sweet. On Saturday and Sunday morning there is no one at the pool all morning long. I am getting home by 9 by my blogging time was 5 to 8 in the morning while I was trying to be quiet as Rob slept in. Now I can sneak out and be home just like any normal day. The new camera is also an issue. It is just not as good as my last one. I might have to reinvest in another one. Ambree had a sleep over, I got to tend Kinley and Fathers day---no photo's--- what a loser.
We have also spending a lot of time house hunting. Besides being time consuming, it is hard. We think we have finally found the perfect house and then it is not. Our latest find was a log cabin home on 5 acres in Herriman. It had everything we wanted and was beautiful and in our price range. We had mentally moved in when we found out that you could have NO farm animals. What the heck is that about? So the search continues. We want to have our house on the market by July 1, so if you heard of anyone looking for house -- send them our way!!!
