Red Canyon lodge

It was just by chance we found this little bit of heaven. We had been at the gorge with family. The house boat was old, our boat lost the propeller, Dad's boat got a crack and Brad's boat had to be towed. We went down to the green river and found Red Canyon lodge and have been back every year since. It is beautiful.
There are animals every where. Fishing is good to great. It is clean and they have a great restaurant. We have camp fires and eat s'mores. The best crayfish caughtin' around. And of course the famous dam, dam tour, dam guides, dam souvenirs, dam fishing, dam water, dam bridge and the dam parking lot.

Two little love birds sitting in the tree

Best wishes to my beautiful Cousin, Chelle and her family! Maverick is perfect!

Red Hot pokers

It all started years ago. My grandpa always had one or two red hot pokers in his small yard and after we moved into our house he brought over a glass canning jar with one plant in it. Rob said he hated the plant but my kind neighbor said I could plan it on the side of her house and that way we could both enjoy it. It grow into one huge plant and bloomed every year. It always reminded me of my grandparents. We have a huge year and it seemed we would buy plant after plant and nothing ever grew. Strawberrys are impossible, I planned Rubarb which never grew and for 7 years we planted grapes which finally took hold. So one year I took the red hot poker plant and separated it and planted 15 plants in the back yard. They grew like weeds. The 15 got separated to make 60 more and it has escalted till now we have over 100 plants and 1,000's of flowers. It is my favortie thing in the yard.

July 4 2010 Parade

Ever since I was small I remember my grandfather parkign his motor home down town and us going to the parades. He would have treats and hot cocoa and we could sit inside and watch the parade go by. So it is no mystery to me, why I get up at 4:30 and go set out the chairs so the kids can come at 10:30 and see the parade. They love it and I love doing it for them. Some traditions should never die.

No Sun in San diego

I was all excited to go to San Diego and lay out but never saw the sun. I was disappointed!
