Lily sleeps over and gets some new make-up

In case you don't recognize it, she was going for the kitty cat look

We had gone to dinner that night as Lone Star and I had ordered a sweet potato. It comes with butter and a small bowl of sugar and cinnamon. Lily thought it was so great that she dipped her french fries and steak into the sugar and cinnamon. Yummy

Last weekend and this weekend we pick up scones from Su Casa and the went shopping. Lily is a gret helper and diffinately like and dislike clothes.

Colbys new house

Sorry the pictures are cut off. It was cold and slippery and the boys were shoving me in the car

New Year 2009

Another year ! Rob and I actually stayed up till 12:00 . We went to dinner at a new sushi place- Katana - it was not very good. Then we went to see a movie- 7 pounds- it was not very good and a little depressing so we came home to watch another movie. It was bad movie so I fell a sleep but Rob watched it. I am still behind but feeling better. Working is taking m ore time than I want but I keep telling myself to stay on the "gravy train" the ride will soon be over. I am trying to set my goals and decided to borrow from Melissa blog with these questions to help me with thinking about my goals
. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before? Got my water aerobic teacher certificate, my Red Cross certificate and life guard certificate. Got a teaching job at gold’s gym, Marv Jensen and Gene Fullmer. I am still a substitute and love these classes. Who would have ever thought? . What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008? More time for friends and family . What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, McKinley being born, Cruise, working at grandmas, swimming, sleepovers, and birthdays cooking with the grandchildren . What was your biggest achievement of the year? Taking down grandma and our pine trees- they said it could not be done! . What was your biggest failure? The phone call not made, the birthday card not sent, the homes not visited . Did you suffer illness or injury Sadly – yes after a whole year of wonderful heath in December I got sick and injured what was the best thing you bought? Cheap plastic containers to give food away in What behavior merited celebration? Anything done at the gym What behavior made you appalled and depressed? Double desserts are appalling but yummy Where did most of your money go? Unknown—I think it just disappears what did you get really, really, really excited about? New toys in the kid’s box at McDonalds Compared to this time last year, are you: a) happier or sadder? Always happier b) thinner or fatter? Hopefully thinnerc) richer or poorer? Always richer- we have never been poor . What do you wish you’d done more of? .time, sleepovers, memories . What do you wish you’d done less of? Hurt feeling . How did you spend Christmas? With family . Did you fall in love in 2008? Yes! I fell in love with working at my grandma’s, my grandkids- time and time again, my husband again, the sunset, the sunrise, the ocean, okay the list is just too long. . What was your favorite TV program? Okay I have to admit we like to watch American Idol, desperate housewife’s, brothers and sisters, House, Boston Legal and Fringe. But I think on the whole we were disappointed in all of them but we still like the time together
. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year? I do not hate
. What was the best book you read? Scriptures. I read hundreds of books a year but always come back to the book of Mormon as it seems to talk right to me and answer all my questions. I would have to say “the shack” was a life changing book. Everyone should read it
. What was your greatest musical discovery? How to burn a CD
. What did you want and get? I want it all and I got it
. What did you want and not get? Nothing I have everything I want and then some
. What was your favorite film of this year? None
. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 52 and I spent it with my husband
. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Nothing it was more than I would have every dreamed or hoped for.
. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008? Cheap- fast and easy
. What kept you sane? Prayer, scriptures and faith. Luckily my brother Jesus is always there for me
. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most: the prophet
. What political issue stirred you the most? None
. Who did you miss? I miss the younger me that could do everything myself, I miss my little boys, I miss my grand parents, I miss the simpler life
. Who was the best new person you met? Festival sisters. There are new volunteers I meet every year that are so inspiring and change my life only for the better.
. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008. Forgive yourself and others
Quote a song lyric that sums up your year. There are three songs: Sexy lady, Earl has to die and here are the words to the last one: Can anybody out there see me cause I can’t seem to see myself, can anybody out there hear me, cause I can’t seem to hear my self, there’s got to be a heaven some where can it save me from this hell, can anybody out there feel me cause I can’t seem to feel myself.

After Christmas sleepover

I love sleepovers. We have so much fun. I picked up Ambree and we went to dinner with Matt, Marianne and Lily at Chuck-a-Rama. Then we watched a movie, had popcorn and she made "crafts" In the morning I was "working from home" and she helped me clean, made crafts and played. Oh yeah-- Breakfast in bed. Then we went to lunch at Chuck cheese. She had a fun time. I hope we can do it a gain soon

Christmas at Dad and Mom's

Well here is my Christmas 2008 picture. It was the first and last one I took . It was a crazy morning with a huge storm. We all arrived late and it wild. I took this picture of Ambree and never saw my camera again till mom returned it days after Christmas. It was a different holiday. I had to admit it but I still have neighbor gifts in the back seat of my car and my parents gift in the front room. Today the "holidays" are officially over. Hopefully I can get caught up

Christmas Morning

Matt and Marianne invited us over for Christmas Breakfast. There was a power outage at 6:30 so when we got there it was getting cold and they couldn't cook anything. We decided to take everything to our house and cook it. Lily got to open her presents. Here is she with her new baby doll. I bought baby dolls for all my granddaughters and nieces. These beautiful dolls are made by a very dear friend. Sadly due to health reasons she is selling her business and will not be making dolls any more. I knew I would regret it, if I did not make sure all the girls I love did not get one of these dolls. Every time I look at them I think of Becki. She is one of my festival sisters that I have come to love and admire. My sister Dianna saw and wanted one of these dolls, Becki is going to get one made for me. Hopefully it will help mend her broken heart.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at Brent and Amy's house. We had a yummy dinner and watched Santa deliver gifts on the Internet
